Tuition Aid News

We are making it easier than ever for families with a wide  range of incomes to afford a Barrack Hebrew Academy education.

Last year, over 30% of our students received substantial financial support from our traditional tuition aid funds. Barrack Hebrew Academy designates 11.5% of its operating budget for tuition aid. This year we have families earning from $20,000 to $200,000 annually receiving aid, depending on individual family circumstances.

This year, with access to generous new funds, we are able to help more families provide their

children with the many benefits of a Barrack Hebrew Academy education.

Our newest tuition aid programs include:

  • The Barrack Foundation Gift: Funds for students new to Barrack Hebrew Academy.
  • The Rabbi's Scholar Program: Rabbis throughout the tri-state area are invited to indentify one student and award him or her with a $5,000 merit-based scholarship to Barrack Hebrew Academy. Merit-based scholarship funds are made possible to students NEW to the school by the generosity of the Barrack Family Foundation. The scholarship is renewable yearly for $3,600. This award is not need-based.
  • Anonymous Donor Gifts: Funds earmarked solely for children whose parents work in the Jewish community.

We now have a pool of financial aid dollars totaling approximately close to $1,000,000 for eligible families.

To explore these opportunities for your family, please call or email me today: 610-922-2350 or vyoung@jbha.org.

Now is the time to apply for September 2009. I look forward to meeting and working with you.
