"The faculty really cares about the students. They are always willing to give you any extra help you need.  You just need to ask."

Educational Resources

Using small group instruction, Barrack Hebrew Academy's Resource staff provides a supportive learning environment for those students who want and need learning support beyond the classroom. Instruction provided varies according to the needs of the individual student. This instruction may include study skills, test-taking skills, organizational skills, as well as general curriculam support.

Resource teachers work closely with faculty, administration, parents, and community professionals on a regular basis. This enables the Resource teachers to determine appropriate expectations and monitor a student's progress on a regular basis. Students generally are assigned two periods per cycle and they may participate in both secular resource as well as Hebrew Resource.

Barrack Hebrew Academy's Resource staff is responsible for coordinating the needs of those students who receive extended time for both standardized and non-standardized tests. Having on-site learning support provides both students and teachers with immediate feedback. A limited number of students participate in a somewhat modified program in subjects which are heterogeneously grouped.
