Middle School
Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy's Middle School combines strong academics
with a program that recognizes the unique and constantly
changing needs of middle school students. We provide
an environment that is both academically challenging
as well as warm, supportive and understanding.
The
Middle School has its own student council, clubs and
athletic teams, insuring opportunities for leadership
and student participation. In addition, Middle School
students participate in many clubs and teams with Upper
School students, allowing for interaction and mentoring
by older students. Middle School-Upper School exchanges
are also encouraged through small (5-7 students) inter-grade
advisories that meet weekly with a faculty advisor.
The
academic program of the Middle School takes an integrative
approach to academic studies. The focus is on the systematic
acquisition of those skills necessary for achieving
independence as a learner.
